The music, which borrows themes from the original, instantly recalled me back to when I played this on my Apple II.
This game has a lovely design sense and aesthetic. However, the games performance is unacceptably poor on an iPhone 4S. There is NO reason for a game to run this poorly on the 4S. If you have the hardware, this game seems like great fun, but if you have anything less than bleeding edge, be warned your mileage may greatly vary.
Too short and simplistic controls - infinity blade controls would be perfect
I remember playing the original back on my old Commodore 64. It was so hard at the time (but I was a child too.) This one seemed so easy by comparison, yet I still really enjoyed it. Not hard to beat, but fun. Will definitely play again!
The difficulty inflation tactics are cheap and unwieldy. It is a timing game without any well developed mechanics. The gap between hit markers for the delays is a very weak way of trying to deepen the simple "tap now" mechanics the game is base on. Its a shame because the idea of the three "lives" being the three suitors is a fantastic one. Just wish the game was more of a game. Expected much more from a reimagined karateka. Promptly deleted this one.
I finished the game the first time I played while I was watching tv. The actual game is played on three dots on the top of the screen while the animation diodes its own thing. If you like a one button quick time event game then you will love this game.
Save yourself the $0.99 and flush this game down the toilet. One button tapping for defense and attacks. Timing is key to this p.o.s. game. Tap.Tap...Tap You WIN. Game over. BORING.
Video performance is terrible on iPhone 4, it is like watching a slideshow for most of the action sequences. I wish they had lower graphics options... Id rather play with the original graphics if the game ran smoothly. Since the gameplay relies mostly on audio cues it still is possible to play but the performance issues severely detract from the experience.
Cant play keeps on crashing
On this game is a west of time
great game. wish it was longer. need to fix frequent freezes
Crashed the first time I played it but upon reboot of my ipad it works ok.
I never played the original version, but I am thoroughly enjoying this adaptation to the iPad .
Downloaded the game prior to the latest update and it wouldnt even get past the opening sequence before crashing. After the update was able to at least play it but of course it crashes on the final punch on the very last boss every time. Not worth the purchase.
Crashes repeatedly. Unplayable. Downloaded, re-downloaded, rebooted to no effect.
As I fondly remember the sights and sounds if the original game I was pleasantly surprised by the visual aesthetic and the remixed original score. Here is the bad news. I have an I phone 5 and my friend has an iPhone 5 neither of us can finish the game. We defeat the end boss and on the last hit, crash out of the game all together. Tried rebooting redownloading the works and still nothing, honestly I dont see how you charge for a game that is clearly incomplete. Fix the game or give us out money back.
Great graphics and controls. I like the tree heroes premise
This is a good game but the bugs makes it useless PLEASE FIX THE CRASH AND OTHER BUGS
I know this was like the first game you wrote or whatever, but the women-as-objects thing is really really bad. Its not like it has to be this way. You are a writer, your job is to think up ways to tell stories about people. Women are people, not always MacGuffins. Other than that the gameplay is great. A few glitches here and there in the combat, but overall pretty fun. Just wish the story was a little better.
